Terms of Service

These terms cover the hosted Jev-Mod website, dashboard, and Discord bot operated by 42nights Inc., Sugar Land, Texas, United States. Contact dev@42nights.inc.

By using the hosted service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the hosted service.

1. Eligibility and server authority

• You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirements and any higher age required by applicable law. Obtain a parent or guardian’s permission where required.
• Install and configure Jev-Mod only for servers you are authorized to manage. Keep your Discord account and API keys secure.
• Server administrators are responsible for their rules, permissions, moderation decisions, and notices to members about automated moderation and third-party processing.

2. What Jev-Mod does

Jev-Mod checks server message text against configured rules. Depending on your settings, it records matches, deletes messages, or applies timeouts. AI rules use Jev from TypeSafe.

• Automated decisions can be wrong or incomplete. Test rules in monitoring mode and retain human oversight.
• Moderation happens after messages are posted. Deleted messages may not be recoverable. Jev-Mod does not scan attachments or monitor direct messages.
• Availability and results depend on Discord, TypeSafe, hosting services, permissions, and configuration. No uninterrupted service or complete detection is promised.

3. Acceptable use

Follow applicable law, Discord’s terms and policies, and the terms of providers you connect. Do not use Jev-Mod to harass people, unlawfully process or disclose personal information, compromise accounts, evade access controls or rate limits, or disrupt services.

Provide only content and credentials you have authority to use. Do not submit passwords, unnecessary sensitive information, or another person’s API key to message tests or rule instructions.

4. Third-party services and charges

You are responsible for charges and account requirements imposed by TypeSafe or other providers you use. Jev-Mod is an independent service and is not Discord or TypeSafe.

Any paid Jev-Mod offer will disclose its pricing and billing conditions before purchase. Purchases through Discord or another platform are also subject to that platform’s applicable purchase and refund terms.

5. Content, software, and privacy

You retain your rights in your content. You authorize processing necessary to provide the moderation features you request, subject to the Privacy Policy.

The source code is available under the MIT license. That license governs use of the code; these terms govern our hosted service. Independently self-hosted deployments have their own operators and policies.

6. Suspension and stopping use

We may restrict or suspend access to address abuse, security incidents, legal requirements, or service maintenance. You may stop using Jev-Mod, pause automatic moderation, remove the bot where authorized, and revoke Discord authorization.

Contact dev@42nights.inc for account or data-deletion requests. Removing the bot and revoking personal authorization affect different records, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

7. Service limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the hosted service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, suitability for a particular purpose, or error-free moderation.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. These terms do not replace a server administrator’s responsibility to review moderation outcomes.

8. Changes and contact
